That's just sweet. I want one.

There are some really, really nice ones in this one. Check it out.

Creative's new Android device

This thing looks really impressive on paper, if the specs at engadget are correct. If it works as well in practice, something like this with a 3G cellular radio would be a pretty awesome device.

The party swing

Emma decided this morning that everyone needed to be in the swing. Amir had no comment.

Shameless plug: Snapfish Photo Adventures (for kids)

Those of you without kids can safely ignore this. ;-)

It actually looks like it could be fun, but since I work at Snapfish, we're not eligible to win anything (Much to Mara's chagrin). Emma also hasn't quite figured out how to use a camera yet, but she's getting there.

Here's the official PR blurb just to make this even more official advertisement... ;-)

Snapfish Summer Photo Adventure (July 15 - August 31, 2009): Snapfish has partnered with LeapFrog to create a variety of free, fun activities for children and parents to enjoy a fun and educational digital photography journey. As part of each activity, consumers are encouraged to take photos related to a particular theme and upload them to a scavenger hunt map. Themes include 'coastal adventures,' 'camping & outdoors,' 'theme parks' and 'fun & games around the house'. When each challenge is complete, participants will earn 50 percent off a collage poster. Participants who complete all four challenges will earn a free 5x7-inch photobook. Participants can also enter a photo from each theme into a photo contest to win additional LeapFrog and Snapfish prizes.

David Garrett - Smooth Criminal

Smooth Criminal, classical style. I'm not up on the latest hip and sexy classical musicians, but apparently David Garret is the very definition of the term. And apparently, he can play flight of the bumblebee very quickly. I think I prefer Smooth Criminal, though. ;-)

Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet

This game looks like insane old school awesome. And probably insane old school hard. If you like that, check out the extended trailer (which I didn't embed, because I couldn't figure out how to turn off autoplay), and the game's blog.

Emma's new sentence: I like X

This morning, X was blueberries. A few days ago, it was rice. Her mother tells me that she's been doing this for awhile, but apparently when I'm not around, as the "I like rice." was the first time I heard it. Its too bad I don't have a sound clip, since she says it with all the conviction of an advertisement. She likes it, and you're convinced that you should, too.

Race Thru the Redwoods

Race Thru the Redwoods 10K

August 16, 2009
Felton, California

This looks like fun, but I don't think I'll drive all the way down there unless I can get someone (or someones ;-) to run it with me. So we'll see what happens.

I just discovered that Pandora has a desktop app

Media_httpwwwpandoracomimagesdesktopappwindowsjpg_dhnazghgdcxegae

Awesome! (And it even got me to install Adobe AIR, which I'd been kinda putting off)

And speaking of AIR, they even have instructions for installing it on 64bit Linux. (Because sadly, there is no 64bit version currently, so one has to jump through the 32 bit hoops to get it to work)
