Because I wanted to see what the picture would look like. Experiments in limited photographic tools and all that.
And if I was posting this directly to LiveJournal, that would be my mood to go along with this post. That, and hungry. Running 12 miles gives one lots of appetite. I guess it's time for me to be looking into signing up for a half marathon in the not too distant future, and maybe I'll get around to doing an actual marathon in 2009. Now that's something that even a month ago, I wouldn't have necessarily felt that I would want to do. (It's too bad I didn't have a camera with me this morning, or I would have accompanied this post with a picture of the Highway 4 sign.)
Because it's christmas, you get extra frequent Emma pictures!
(And it's really too bad that once a post is up on posterous, you can't fix the image rotation. I tried to fix it on my phone, but somehow once it got to the internets, it went back to sideways)
Merry christmas! (This got lost in the internets earlier, so I'm reposting.)
It will be released to us in the States on February 10, 2009. This is
one game I'm definitely going to have to pre-order. The original was
beyond awesome. So anyways, I was prompted to write this because Sony
posted a rather awesome
video to the PlayStation Blog. Maybe it'll cause some people who
have neglected their PSPs to pick them up again.
I was too busy and ignored it when Penny Arcade mentioned it. I missed it entirely when ArsTechnica reviewed it. And then, Ars mentioned it again, and I actually followed the link this time. You should check it out, it's as good as they say, and I'm currently addicted.
While I know many of you are Mac diehards, for those of you that run
Linux or Windows, this
sale is off the chain. The prices are almost at the HP business
refurb prices, but for new machines. And while I used to be a IBM or
nothing person when it came to PC laptops, the current HP business
laptops seem at least as good as the Lenovo laptops these days. So
anyways, pass it on.
Speaking of which, we get something closer to real winter out here. It's generally been below 40F in the mornings, and quite chilly during the day. Its still a bit trippy for it to be warmer when I get to work in SF than it was when I left home. I think the plethora of colored leaves are worth it, tho. ;)
